1. Referral Centres
A large number of patients are referred to BLP's Referral Centre from Bombay and adjoining areas and far off places beyond Bombay. The patients are generally referred by the health personnel from GHC system, Private medical practitioners, Practicing Dermatologists, faculty from Medical colleges, other Leprosy NGOs, Public and Private Hospitals and some self reporting cases.
The patients are referred to BLP's Referral Centre for various reasons like diagnostic problems, reactions / neuritis for management, prevention / worsening of deformity, investigations, suspected relapses etc.
2. Prevention of Disability Services
A) Urban POD Services: BLP is providing the following services

B) Rural POD Services
BLP has networking with other community based health service NGOs to facilitate leprosy services to patients in rural areas. In association with Shantivan, POD services are provided to patients in Panvel and Uran taluka of Raigad district.
Methodology
1. Task Oriented training of Community Volunteers

3. Mobile Service Unit to facilitate mobility to provide doorstep POD services.
4. Supervisory visits by Non medical Supervisors, Physiotherapist and Medical Officers
5. Simplified Information System (SIS) for collecting and analyzing data
3. Rehabilitation
The patients who have been cured of the disease continue to suffer from clinical and neurological problems. Patients with disabilities suffer from stigma and discrimination and are still not being integrated back into the society.
Bombay Leprosy Project under its integrated rehabilitation programme has rehabilitated individuals affected with leprosy and physically challenged due to various diseases like leprosy, polio, multiple sclerosis, schizophrenia, cerebral palsy, etc.
4. Technical Support to 23 Municipal Health Posts in Mumbai
Bombay Leprosy Project has been detecting, treating and providing comprehensive leprosy services for more than three decades in the G/South, G/North and H Wards of Bombay Municipal Corporation

6. Slum Children Literacy Class
BLP has been providing informal educational support to Slum children including a few children affected by leprosy in collaboration with the Monsoon & Sunshine class at Acworth Municipal Hospital for Leprosy, Wadala, Bombay. This activity is being partly supported by SURDEEP, an NGO from Japan. Educational materials were provided to the children attending the SCLC. Gifts, clothes and toys received from Japan as well as from local donors were also distributed to the 50 children. During this year, a pair of school uniforms was given to all the children. In addition the children were given stationeries like compass boxes etc.
